Peddlers will not only enjoy cycling but will bask in Hilton Head’s beach lifestyle while learning about our exceptional history and visiting our Island gem, Lowcountry Celebration Park!
Pedal Hilton Head Island has been a cornerstone event for the Boys and Girls Club Community for 15 years. Typically, the Club serves 325 kids daily. New in 2021, we’ve started a new Saturday program which partners with the Beaufort County School District to address learning gaps that have emerged in the past year. “Camp Saturday” provides academic and recreational enrichment that will help kids catch up and finish school at grade level. Your participation in Pedal Hilton Head Island supports our commitment to keep children on the path to academic success.
Every participant can help raise funds for the Boys and Girls Club and have every dollar matched by generous donors. We make it easy for you to donate and fund-raise, on the registration site you can donate directly to the Club. Make an additional donation yourself or get friends and family to support your ride, your generosity will help us serve the kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head Island.
In Celebration of National Bike Month, Sunday, May 1st, 2022 Pedal Hilton Head is proud to partner with the best our Island has to offer, providing participants with an amazing backdrop for the most relevant bike ride you will take all year.

Pedal Provides – We Need You Now More Than Ever
MISSION
Pedal Hilton Head has two missions, the first is to be a marquee cycling event in our Gold Level Bicycle Friendly Community. The second, and most important mission is to fund programs and scholarships at the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head Island for those kids who need us the most. Parents and caregivers can rely on the Club to provide childcare, unique learning and recreation opportunities and a healthy source of food for their children. All of which would not be available without generous donors like you. The Club also provides part and full-time employment for over 20 members of the Hilton Head community plus draws from the incredible volunteers that make the Island who we are!
In 2021, 70% of Beaufort County kids did not finish school at grade level. To help address this shortfall, The Club has formed a community partnership with the Beaufort County School district. “Club Saturday” offers academic and recreational enrichment programs to address and alleviate the learning gaps.
The Club is a cornerstone of daily life for the children and teens that it serves daily. Many of them are from low-income families: 63% of Club Members (children) are from families living in poverty, 71% do not have health insurance, 54% live in single-parent households and many do not have a home to call their own.
Pedal Hilton Head’s fundraising goal has never had higher stakes, as the world reels with uncertainty, it is more important than ever to provide stability for our members. While we never know what the future holds, donors to the Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head can be assured that positive impact of their contributions are felt across Hilton Head daily. The Boys and Girls Club provides exceptional after-school, summer education, recreation, and other enrichment programs. Participants in the Club are given the tools to become better students and active community members.
Your 2022 registration and contributions support our programs which focus on academic success, healthy lifestyle and being good, productive, caring citizens. The Club works with staff, the board and community volunteers to continually improve programming and our facilities to meet the changing and growing needs of the children of Hilton Head.

Sponsor A Child from The Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head Island
Our Pedal-for-a-Kid challenge is back bigger and better than ever for 2022. Your $300 registration fee lets you ride for a specific child served by the Boys and Girls Club, and you’ll proudly where their picture on your jersey as you ride. It also entitles you to the 2022 signature designed Pedal cycling jersey. If registered by March 1st, your jersey will be mailed to you prior to event day.
Pedal-for-a-Kid riders are encouraged to fund-raise beyond their $300 registration. As an added incentive, $150 of the $300 registration fee will be matched from a generous donor. So, every $300 registration provides $450 of value to the Club. Beyond that, every single dollar donated or raised by Pedal-for-a-Kid riders will be matched by our donor, making every dollar effectively DOUBLED.
Again, those Pedal-for-a-Kid Benefits are:
- 2022 Signature Cycling Jersey and Pedal Tee Shirt
- Picture of the child you are riding to support
- Customized fundraising strategies, as needed
- If registered by 3/1/22 get a jersey in time for the ride
- Automatic $150 match, so $300 fee is automatically $450 value to Boys and Girls Club.
- Additional fundraising will be fully matched.
Don’t let this enriching opportunity pass you by. This year, Pedal-for-a-Kid!
